Annual Upgrades Offered Under “iPhone for Life” Program of Sprint

Sprint recently modified its “iPhone for Life” program as it provides customers the opportunity to swap their devices for a new model of the iPhone each year.

Customers have to sign up for a different version of the plan to allow them to take advantage of the latest offer. The original plan allowed customers to lease the latest iPhone 6 at $20 per month. The adjustment allows customers to get the latest model at $30 per month.

Aside from the iPhone 6, the iPhone 5S is also available for lease. The latest options on the program of Sprint will be implemented on November 14. Customers have to pay for the cost of the device and an unlimited data, text and talk plan for $50.

The latest change in the program of Sprint is among the latest innovations rolled out by CEO Marcelo Claure.

Sprint continues to lose customers due to the perception that it is lagging behind its rivals in terms of coverage and speed. Although Sprint offered the Sprint Spark program offering faster connection, it is limited to a number of selected markets.

The latest option under the “iPhone for Life” program was introduced two days after mobile service provider launched a range of low-end data plans offering 1GB of data for $20. Sprint announced that it also aims to increase the data for high-end family plans currently offered by AT&T.

The $30 monthly fee under its program is for the 16GB iPhone 6. The fee increases to $40 per month for the 128GB iPhone 6 while the 128GB iPhone 6 Plus has a price tag of $45 per month. Sprint revealed that its customers can save around $445 compared to a similar program of T-Mobile. The program also allows customers to save $570 and $667.44 when compared to similar plans from AT&T and Verizon, respectively.

The 32GB iPhone 5S and 64GB iPhone 5S are also available under the “iPhone for Life” program of Sprint for $21 and $24 per month, respectively.
