Conservatorship Considered By The Parents Of Amanda Bynes

It seems that a conservatorship similar that was obtained for Britney Spears is being considered by the parents of Amanda Bynes. The actress is presently being held for a mental health evaluation.

The deputies of Ventury County and witnesses indicated that the actress ignited a pant leg as she started a small fire along the driveway of her home in Thousand Oaks. The actress was taken into custody under the Welfare and Institutions Code of California to keep her safe.

The law allows authorities to hold Amanda Bynes for 72 hours. However, sources have indicated that it may be possible for the actress to be held for 14 days if she continues to pose a danger to herself and others.

A source also indicated that the parents of the actress are taking into consideration conservatorship. A conservatorship was obtained by the parents of Britney Spears after a number of incidents in 2008. The father of Spears has overseen the life of her daughter after she was considered legally incompetent.

A conservatorship will compel the person to allow another person to make basic decisions in connection to finances and even the place of residence of the person. The latest incident was reported by a witness who was concerned that the small gas can that Amanda Bynes had may explode.

Andrew Liverpool said that the actress was able to put out the fire on her pant leg when he went over to help. She said that she was fine when the man asked her if she was ok. She tried to leave the scene on a taxi, but the driver was told not to take her.

No property was damaged by the fire, according to Sgt. Eric Buschow.

The actress was charged last May in Manhattan for attempting to tamper with evidence, possession of drugs, and reckless endangerment after she supposedly threw a bong outside the window of her apartment. However, Amanda Bynes denied that she used drugs and the bong was supposedly a plant vase.
