“Fifty Shades” Movie Release Date Announced

The legions of people who enjoyed the “Fifty Shades of Grey” books by E.L. James will surely have a reason to be happy as the date for the release of the “Fifty Shades” movie has been announced this Friday.

According to Universal Studios and Focus Features, the movie will be released next summer on the 1st of August, 2014

Because of the short time until the release date, some fans doubt the validity of the announcement, saying that it would basically be impossible for the movie to be released in such a short time especially as the cast is not even set yet.

The cast may not be there yet but the director, Sam Taylor-Johnson has been confirmed.

The book was an astounding success so the expectations for the movie to be a hit both in terms of story and in terms of profit are high.

Speculation as to who will play the main protagonists is high with a lot of people dropping names like Emma Watson, Ryan Gosling, Kristen Stewart or director Taylor-Johnson’s husband, Aaron Johnson.

While none of the above actors have said anything in regards to the possibility of them playing either Anastasia Steele or Christian Grey, now that the release date and director are done with, “Fifty Shades” can hope for a cast to be put in place ASAP.

While we all want to know the decision, I hope it is not rushed as we care about it being the right fit, that is so key.

I do NOT see Emila Clarke or Rob Pattinson or Alex Pettyfer in the right fit group, personally.

    My vote is:
Alexis Bledel (1st pick) or Alexandra Daddario as Ana
With Ian Somerholder or Henry Cavill as Christian
