Jenny McCarthy New Host Of “The View”

The actress, bestselling author, Playboy model and more recently activist Jenny McCarty will became the newest host of “The View” after Elisabeth Hasselbeck has left the popular women’s talk show to join the Fox News team.

McCarthy is well known for her 90’s Playboy appearances as well as for her tough stance of vaccines, which she says have led to her son’s autism. She wrote a book on her son’s condition which is entitled “Healing and Preventing Autism: A Complete Guide”.

While she is considered a hero by many vaccine skeptics and even by parents of autistic children, many health organizations fear she will use her new and very public position to spread misinformation regarding vaccines.

Health organizations also mention that there are more than two dozen studies conducted in the past years that haven’t managed to find any links between vaccines and autism in children. Health specialists say that McCarthy’s very public views have been the biggest hurdle vaccination campaigns have had to deal with in the last decade.

ABC representatives didn't mention if Jenny McCarthy will speak about her stance on vaccines, but were delighted with their choice saying the McCarty will bring an intelligent voice as well as humor and warmth to the show that she will start in on the 9th of September.
