The New England Patriots were limited to 13 points in the first half by the defense of the Dallas Cowboys, which saw Tom Brady being sacked five times. But, Brady remained cool under pressure as he led New England to a 30-6 victory over Dallas.

Despite the pressure exerted by the front-seven of the Dallas Cowboys, Brady was able to complete 20 of 27 passes for 275 yards for the New England Patriots. It also included two touchdowns. The defense of New England did their work and kept Brandon Weeden and Dallas away from the end zone. In the end, the Cowboys were limited to a total of 264 yards.

The Cowboys have struggled since the start of the season with Dez Bryant going down in Week 1 due to a foot injury while the left clavicle of Tony Romeo was injured in Week 2. While Weeden completed a high percentage of his passes, he was inconsistent in his production. Dallas started the season with a 2-0 record but lost its last three games.

Greg Hardy was reinstalled in the lineup after being suspended for four games due to allegations of domestic violence. Rolando McCain was also reactivated by the Dallas Cowboys after a four-game suspension due to a violation of the substance abuse policy of the league. The reactivation of Hardy was controversial since he was initially given a ten-game suspension by Roger Goodell before the arbitrator reduced the ban.

The signing of Hardy was met with criticism and did not help the public relations issues of the team when he spoke to the media a week ago. He said he regretted for not being with his team after he was asked if he felt remorseful for the incident.

Hardy played tough defense in the first half as he had three tackles, a forced fumble and two sacks. He also hit Brady three times. However, the defense of Dallas was nowhere to be found in the second half as the New England Patriots put in the points in the scoreboard.

The leading receiver of the New England Patriots for the day was Julian Edelman, who grabbed four catches for 120 yards. He also had a 59-yard touchdown where a number of Dallas players could not catch him as he moved across the field. New England is one of the six teams that have kept their record unblemished for the season.

The team will play its next game against the Indianapolis Colts in a rematch of the AFC championship last season. The game was controversial after it was discovered that New England played with football falling below the minimum inflation threshold of the league. Even as the New England Patriots accepted the consequences of the incident, Brady challenged his suspension and bested the NFL in court.
