New Fantastic Four Trailer Released

The Fantastic Four is set to return to the big screen this coming summer, and a rather-impressive trailer was released that heralded the comeback of the first group of genetically-modified superheroes of Marvel.

The trailer clip presents a monologue given by Dr. Franklin Storm on the unquenchable need of humans to discover, invent and build. During the monologue, viewers are treated to a first glimpse of the people who are set to become superheroes - Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm - before they launch into space.

Dr. Storm reveals that every new discovery has its own risks, sacrifices and consequences. The trailer shows a number of theatrical poses and some explosions. It also shows the Thing coming out of a rock he is encased in, the Human Torch lighting up, and Mister Fantastic using his powers for the first time.

The trailer also contains an Easter egg, which was pointed out by Simon Kinberg, the producer of the Fantastic Four. The Easter egg may be the numbers “23.21.190.125," which is visible at the scene where Sue Storm is in front of a number of computer screens. When these numbers are used on the address bar of a browser, it brings users to the “Latveria” Wikipedia page. “Latveria” is the fictional country ruled by Dr. Doom, the nemesis of the superheroes.

Josh Trank, director of the movie, revealed that the Philip Glass and Marco Beltrami will provide the musical score of the movie. The movie will be the first superhero movie that the Oscar-nominated Glass will work on. On the other hand, Beltrami has already worked on a number of blockbuster action movies in the past, such as Snowpiercer, Terminator 3 and The Hurt Locker.

The Fantastic Four stars Miles Teller, Kata Mara, Janie Bell, Michael B. Jordan, and Reg E. Cathey, and is set to hit the big screen on August 7.
