Peyton Manning Suffers Injury After An Attempted Block

Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos primed himself for a block in their Sunday game with the San Diego Chargers. However, the play of the Denver Broncos quarterback did not end well.

Since the path of CJ Anderson appeared to be cut off, Manning instinctively went for a block. It appeared that the quarterback was surprised with his situation as he went up against Donald Butler. The San Diego linebacker went for Manning instead of stopping the runner, who went for the end zone.

The play ended with Butler getting hurt while Peyton Manning went straight into the locker room. Apparently the quarterback was injured as well. On the other hand, the touchdown of Anderson was reversed. Denver went for a field goal at the one-yard line instead of going for a fourth down with Brock Osweiler, the backup quarterback of Denver.

Osweiler took over the quarterback chores as Manning stayed inside the locker room. Manning was apparently experiencing flu-like symptoms. However, Denver revealed that their starting quarterback suffered a thigh injury. The injury came off the block attempt.

It can be recalled that the quarterback experienced a number of neck injuries in the past, forcing him to miss a season. The latest injury resulted to anxiety for Denver. Osweiler started the second half for the Broncos. Peyton Manning eventually came back and avoided injury after attempting what may be considered as the last block of his entire career.
