Pottermore Crashes After New Harry Potter Story Was Posted

The Pottermore website was fixed following a crash after J.K. Rowling posted a new Harry Potter short story on the website.

The new story was available for holders of a free account on the website. In the latest story, Rita Skeeter reports about the entrance of original six members of Dumbledore’s Army. One of the members of the group is the well-loved wizard, who is already 34 years old.

Skeeter was supposed to report about the Quidditch finals for the Daily Prophet. However, she devoted the article on Dumbledore’s Army.

The latest story fulfilled the wishes of millions of fans of the Harry Potter series for a new story about the wizard. However, after the author posted the story, the Pottermore website crashed. The Harry Potter series, which has a total of seven books, sold over 400 million copies around the world.

It remains uncertain how long the new story was posted before the website was brought down. However, the URL of the story gives an indication that it was posted by Rowling on July 8. It was supposedly entitled “Dumbledore’s Army Reunites.” It can be recalled that the wizard recruited some of his fellow classmates for wizard training after Hogwarts temporarily stopped giving “Defense Against the Dark Arts” training.

The new story was reportedly written as a news report by Rita Skeeter, a fictional reporter on the series. It focused on a Quidditch game where a number of former members of Dumbledore’s Army joined. The posting of the new story is not considered a coincidence for fans of the series. The Diagon Alley was officially opened at the Universal Studios amusement park on July 8.

The Pottermore website experienced some issues in the past, including a delay on its launch due to some bugs and it provided a limited number of features to visitors.
