The price of a refurbished HP Chromebook 14 was reduced recently to $179.99 for the white model featuring a 2GB RAM. The price does not include shipping charges of $5. For the 4GB model, the price tag is at $199.99.

Customers have a choice of three colors, peach, turquoise and white. The netbook features an integrated HSPA+4G connectivity along with 200MB of monthly data from T-Mobile. The netbook has not impressed consumers in the market since they are considered to be small, underpowered and overpriced. However, a number of industry watchers considered Chromebooks an exception to the rule.

The HP Chromebook 14 comes with the Chrome OS of Google, which is considered to be better in some aspects by a number of industry watchers. The device is faster and provides decent performance from using an Intel Celeron processor. It is also relatively safer from security threats, like viruses. The only security threat that users should look out for is phishing. Google also announced some new features for its Chrome OS.

There are numerous Chromebooks available in the market featuring small display screens and keyboards. However, the HP variant of the device offers a 14-inch screen along with relatively bigger keys. It also weighs around four pounds. Its bigger size also allows it to offer one USB 2.0 port, a pair of USB 3.0 ports, and an HDMI port.

Although storage is limited to a 16GB SSD, it features an SD memory card slot, which can expand its memory along with the USB ports that allow external drive to be connected to it.

The price tag of the refurbished device is significantly lower than an entry-level laptop that is normally priced at around $349. However, the reduced price of the HP Chromebook 14 is only good for one day or until supplies last.
