Simply Prepaid Plans To Be Launched On January 25 By T-Mobile

T-Mobile is set to launch its Simply Prepaid offering on January 25. The new prepaid plan offering of the mobile service provider provides users with unlimited talk, text and data for $40 per month. The company is also offering plans worth $50 and $60.

The amount of LTE data available for each plan is the main difference among the three plans. The 4G LTE data offered for each plan is 1GB, 3G and 5GB for the $40, $50 and $60 plan, respectively. Once the limit is reach, connection slows down to 129Kbps for the remainder of the month. While the advertisement of the company indicates that it is offering unlimited data, it does not show how the data is delivered to users.

The new plan of the company will go up against the prepaid plans of other mobile service providers as the popularity of the prepaid market continues to grow. However, it appears the Simply Prepaid plan of T-Mobile is also competing against itself as the MetroPCS brand of the company is also offering $40 as well as $50 monthly plans.

A spokesperson from T-Mobile indicated that the launch of its new prepaid plans increases the number of choices for their clients. Since MetroPCS uses the network of T-Mobile, there are some differences in services.

However, the new plans provides the company another way of selling prepaid plans to consumers through its stores as it uses the strength of the company’s brand. T-Mobile already offers its Simple Choice prepaid plans for consumers. It offers unlimited text, talk and data starting at $50 each month, providing 1GB of 4G LTE data. However, it does not offer the 4G LTE option for its $80 plan.

The Simply Prepaid offering of T-Mobile does not offer tethering while unused cannot be used in the next month.
