Imagine having as a companion a human like voice that can give you extremely accurate directions that may help you reach your destination on time. These smart guided computers will be able to help you avoid accidents that might cost you your life. They might help you stay awake during those long and unpleasant journeys.

With the power of all the computers in the world and the strongest supercomputer connected to the internet you can have the brain of the entire world on board. By 2020 you can have a computer that can rival the smartest people in the world combined and you will be capable of solving the toughest problem in your life just by having a simple conversation with your on board computer.

The power of cloud computing and volunteer computing will enable the creation of a system that will share information on an unprecedented scale. Once this system is connected to the internet it will be capable of supplying you with answers to the toughest questions directly on your smartphone.

Smart devices for the self-driving car

The self-driving car will become a necessity that will not only make our driving more comfortable but it will also save lives. The self-driving car will allow us to share more time with the A.I. on board and it will save a lot of time in our lives.

There will come a point in time when, because of the singularity theory and the leap towards quantum computing, self-driving cars will be capable of safer driving than human driven cars. Self-driving cars will be able to make wise decisions and adjust speeds with an unprecedented precision. Take on hard curves and promote eco driving better than any human.

All of this information will be powered by a super strong computer, displayed on flexible OLED displays that will be integrated on every inch of the dashboard and across time, the computer on board will probably evolve into a molecular computer or quantum computer as in the near future, silicon power will wear out as the average transistor will reach the 5 nanometer size and thermodynamics will finally put a stop the decade long Moore’s law and the silicon era.

These two hardware & software components will be indispensable for the car of the future and they will help us to clean our roads, save more time, save our lives and bring in more joy that will enrich our lives.
