The Shield’s Michael Jace Pleads Not Guilty To Murder Charge

Actor Michael Jace, best known for his role on the hit TV show “The Shield” entered a not guilty plea when he appeared in front of a Los Angeles court this Wednesday. The 51 year old actor is accused of killing his wife April Jace on May 19th.

The actor’s defense team did not object to the $2 million bond or to the judge’s order that Jace should have no contact with his children for the time being. A first hearing is set for August 1 where investigators and police officers that arrested Jace will testify in regards to the events that occurred on May 19th.

The actor’s wife, April Jace died in May 19th in her Los Angeles home due to multiple gunshot wounds according to what is yet a preliminary autopsy report. The death was filed as a homicide according to Deputy Chief Coroner Ed Winter.

According to current information released by LAPD, Michael Jace called 911 that night reporting that his wife was shot as did several of his neighbors who heard the gunshots. Michael Jace’s father-in-law also called 911, after he received a message from the actor asking him to come over and get his grand kids as he shot his daughter.

Police officers and investigators believe the reason behind the murder was domestic violence.
