Hailie closely resembles her mother and ex-wife of Eminem, Kim Mathers. She considers her parents as the most influential persons in her life. She said that her mother and father motivated her to become the person she is today. They also provided her with all the support she needed.

Her parents, Kim and Eminem, were high school sweethearts who got married in 1999. However, they divorced two years later. They remarried for a short time in 2006 before splitting up again. The unpleasant separation served as the inspiration for a number of graphic songs of the rapper, including “Kim” and “Stan.” However, Hailie Mathers provided the rapper with the inspiration for "Hailie's Song," which Eminem wrote in 2002.
