Introducing a large-sized iPad may be an attempt of the company in increasing interest among buyers for its tablet offerings. Business users may find the iPad Pro an appealing option.

The event on Wednesday is set to be held at the Bill Graham auditorium in San Francisco, which has a total seating capacity of 7,000. The event is expected to be among the largest events organized by the company. Speculations emerged on the possibility that the new iPad will be introduced during the event due to the size of the event’s venue.

A Buzzfeed report revealed last month that the new iPad will be unveiled together with the latest model of the iPhone in the second week of September. September 9 was highlighted as the most likely date for the launch of the devices, according to the report. Latest reports validate the date but it remains uncertain whether the two devices will be launched or not. A JP Morgan analyst reportedly informed clients that components will be delivered to Foxconn by September, which hinted at a possible October launch for the large-sized iPad. Foxconn is one of the manufacturing partners of Apple.

The latest iPad model may feature a high-resolution display screen along with speakers on its sides. The iPad 4 Mini is expected to be faster and slimmer compared to the current model. If the devices will be launched by Apple next week, they may reach store shelves by November.
