Coachella 2015 Combines Classic Rock With Rave

The lineup of acts for this year’s Coachella shows a change from the program last year, which featured a number of dance acts including Disclosure and Calvin Harris. The list of performers for the event this year includes AC/DC and Steely Dan. The performers this year is a departure from the theme last year, which resulted to questions whether the event has become a rave party rather than a mainstream festival market or not.

The unique combination of performers this year highlights the main motivation for the event for this year. The disco music of Todd Terje appears to complement the heavy metal rock offered by AC/DC. This will attract a broad range of music fans rubbing elbows with each other.

There are also fans who purchase tickets even before the lineup is revealed. These fans normally move from place to place checking out the different acts that may interest them. With the different types of fans attending the event, it is expected to meet fans of nearly all walks of life at Coachella this year.

While classic rock fans may have their fill of the music they want, it is already a given that EDM typically brings in the crowd.

The event this year is considered similar to the event held in the 90s albeit with different performers. But, the performers mainly provide attendees the high-energy music to celebrate with. This is not a new concept since this is what music festivals are all about. However, some music watchers are piqued by the idea that the event this year combines two music genres that may be considered oceans apart by some fans. Despite this, a good number of fans are looking forward to the Coachella this year, which will be held on April 10 to 12 and April 17 to 19.
