Dancing With The Stars Championship Copped By Meryl Davis

The final dance of the season of “Dancing with the Stars” was performed by Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis. The West Bloomfield dancer and her partner got another perfect score on their way to secure the championship. Meryl told Maksim that it was for him as the pair received the Mirrored Ball trophy.

The last three couples danced only once for judging during the 24-Hour Fusion Challenge and only had one day to prepare. Meryl and Maksim received a perfect score as the three judges admired their fusion of cha-cha and foxtrot. This was similar to the two other dances the pair performed on Monday night.

Len Goodman said the dance of the pair was a good send-off for him since he may return to the show in the next season. He added that Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis were great. Bruno Tonioli said the pair appeared to have rediscovered the excitement and passion of their first love, which is dancing.

Tonioli added that the season was extraordinary and the best part of the season was the Maksim and Meryl. Tonioli said Meryl was marvelous. The combines scores of the three dances of the pair was 90, which was one point higher than the second-placers, Derek Hough and Amy Purdy. Mark Ballas and Candace Cameron Bure placed third with 78 points.

However, Maksim and Meryl only became the champions after the official announcement was made by Tom Bergeron. The scores of the judges were combined with the votes of fans.

The first non-ice dance between Charlie White and Davis was promoted by AB C before the show. White was eliminated last week together with his partner Sharna Burgess. The two Olympic gold medalists, Meryl Davis and Charlie White, appeared great in the thirty seconds when their dance was shown on ABC.
