J.J. Abrams Tweet Piques Interest Of Star Wars Fans

A recent tweet by J.J. Abrams about the recently-unveiled wearable tech from Apple piqued the interest of fans of the Star Wars franchise. Although the director of "Star Wars: Episode VII" tweeted a picture about the upcoming Apple Watch, the background of the picture attracted the attention of enthusiasts of the movie franchise since it had the appearance of the interior of the Death Star.

Abrams used the hashtag #AppleWatch in a recent tweet showing a handwritten note indicating that he had the desperate need to acquire a watch and he blamed Apple for it.

The director of the upcoming "Star Wars: Episode VII" is known for leaving clues each time he tweets using the Bad Robot account. The latest tweet from J.J. Abrams showed a clue on the upcoming movie. The background of the note appeared to be the window wall pattern of the Death Star. It was similar to the window wall pattern shown during the duel between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader.

Industry watchers have speculated whether the Death Star or the interior design will make an appearance on the upcoming movie. Others have indicated that the director may be simply teasing the fans of the movie as they wait for the release of the next installment of the franchise.

The director made numerous tweets in the past showing clues about the movie, including a cyborg hand, filming of the movie for IMAX, and a Dejarik hologame table that may feature the Millennium Falcon. J.J. Abrams also tweeted an image showing the set upcoming Star Wars movie.

However, fans of the movie franchise will have to wait until December 18, 2015 when "Star Wars: Episode VII" is set to hit the big screen.
