Lindsay Lohan ordered to undergo more therapy sessions

The judge handling the case of Lindsay Lohan ordered the Hollywood celebrity to undergo more therapy sessions and program meetings designed for her complete recovery and to close a three-year-old drug suit.

The actress would also be allowed to resume working after spending a month in jail and rehab.

The 24-year-old Lohan was ordered by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox to attend psychotherapy sessions, drug and alcohol counseling, as well as random drug and alcohol testing several times a week.

If Lohan passes then she will be allowed to return to unsupervised probation and may leave Los Angeles permanently. If she fails a drug test then she will serve a 30-day jail sentence for every violation.

Shawn Chapman Holley, Lohan's attorney, said her client was determined to follow all the rehab requirements laid by the judge. Lohan did not attend the hearing.

“She is very serious about her sobriety,” Holley told the judge.

Lohan will star in the movie “Machete” directed by Robert Rodriquez set to be released in theaters on September 3.

The complete rehab regimen includes two psychotherapy, two behavior therapy, and five 12-step sessions per week. Her attorney said she was confident that Lohan will be able to balance her personal and work responsibilities.

“She has changed,” Holley said. “She's healthy. She's clear-headed. She is positive at looking forward.”

Lohan was arrested on 2007 for drug violations and driving under the influence, and later failed to complete her alcohol education sessions and had her probation time extended for one year.
