Kirstie Alley Gets New TV Sitcom

Kirstie Alley, the former “Cheers” and “Look Who’s Talking Now” star has landed a role in a new 12 episode sitcom that will be airing this fall for TV Land.

The show was initially titled “Giant Baby” but producers chose to change that name to “Kirstie’s New Show”.

Along with the Emmy winning actress the cast is also composed of Michael Richards, who became famous after playing Kramer in the cult classic Seinfeld but hit a rough patch after some controversial racial slurs during one of his stand-up gigs.

Eric Petersen who also starred in “Sherk” will also be joining the cast.

Alley will play Madison “Maddie” Banks, a fabulous Broadway star that gets her life completely turned around when Arlo (who will be played be Eric Petersen) her son whom she gave away after birth, returns after both his adoptive parents die.

Frictions arise immediately as Alro doesn't really fit Maddie’s epicurean, bohemian and sometimes hedonistic lifestyle, however, her best friend Thelma and her driver Frank (who is played by Michael Richard) convince her to give motherhood a try and to give Alro a chance to stay with her.

The fantastic cast that joins Kirstie Alley has impressed just about everyone in the entertainment field, with TV Land president Larry Jones being ecstatic about the show.
