Matt Lauer Questions Outrage One Direction Fans

The latest album of One Direction, “Four,” was released recently and the band promoted it at the “Today” show with one member missing, Zayn Malik. The host of the show, Matt Lauer, started asking the other members of the band about the absence of Malik the moment they went up the stage.

Liam Payne responded to the questions of Lauer about the absence of their band mate. He said Malik had the “tummy bug” and he was not feeling well at that moment. Due to this, he could not join them in the show.

However, the host of the “Today” show was not convinced with the answer as he continued to make inquiries about the absent One Direction member. He asked the band about reports hinting that Malik was dealing with drug addiction.

He told Payne about the concern of fans about Malik through Twitter. He said there was a good amount of action on social media about the reports. Lauer asked Payne if the illness of Malik was a major or minor one. He asked what was going on with the reports about substance abuse.

But, Payne did not flinch as he said reiterated that Malik has a stomach bug, He also said his band mate is fine and he is resting at home. After the airing of the show, Malik communicated his anger at the questions of Lauer through “The Sun” of the UK.

He said he was both angry and upset about the questions asked by the host of the “Today” show. He added that he was sick during the weekend, which prevented him to join the band when they went to the US.

Even as Payne remained calm throughout the interview, the fans of the band were outrage. They expressed it during the show as well on Twitter. They communicated their anger at the questions of the host about the absent member of One Direction at the “Today” show.
