OnePlus Two Launched By Chinese Manufacturer

The OnePlus Two was launched recently by OnePlus into the market. The latest offering of the China-based manufacturer is an upgraded model of the OnePlus One.

While it costs more than its predecessor, it is still cheaper compared to other comparable devices in the market. The 64GB model has a price tag of $389 while the 16GB model is priced at $329. It features a 5.5-inch LCD screen with a screen resolution of 1080p and a camera designed to work well in low-light conditions. The 13MP camera of the phablet is capable of capturing more light than its predecessor with 1.3 micron pixels.

The OnePlus Two also comes with a fingerprint sensor, which the company says is faster compared to the TouchID biometric system of the IPhone.

Its high-tech specs essentially future-proofs the device at a reasonable price. It is also customizable through its exchangeable back covers. The Snapdragon 810 octa-processor of the device was tweaked to allow it to clock at 1.9GHz. The company had indicated that it was able to solve a number of issues associated with this Qualcomm chip. Graphics processing is handled by the Adreno 430 GPU of the device.

The 64GB model features 4GB of RAM while the 16GB model comes with a 3GB RAM. It also has a USB Type C port, which facilitates data transfer and charging.

The device also comes with dual SIM support, which allows users to use two SIM cards in one device. The 64GB model will be released into the US and European markets by August 12. On the other hand the 16GB model is expected to enter the market before the end of the year.

While the OnePlus Two is considered as the “flagship killer” for 2016 by its manufacturer, it remains to be seen if it will attract enough consumers to allow it to remain one step ahead of its competition.
