2012 London Games Anthem A Great Success

London - Mark Ronson, known music producer, has been working hard along with 5 Olympic hopefuls from 5 different countries to come up with the Olympic anthem for the upcoming Summer Games in London. Ronson has been a 3 time Grammy winner. He described Thursday the project as very spectacular as beverage manufacturer giant, Coca Cola, unveiled to the public its worldwide campaign, Move to the Beat, for the London Summer Games.

The Olympic anthem will be the official soundtrack to be used during digital platforms, commercials and events throughout the 2012 London Games. Ronson worked with the athletes during their rigorous training sessions capturing the real essence of the Olympic anthem.

Microphones were placed while some of the athletes are running or are currently in motion. Ronson wanted to capture the real Olympic spirit as he recorded the wallop of arrows from an archer and bounce of a table tennis ball. Each heartbeats, grunts, thumps and screeches should be captured in the Olympic anthem, Ronson said. Ronson had worked with Darius Knight, 21, table tennis player representing Britain. He had also worked with Russia’s Kseniya Vdovina, 24, a 400 meter track event champion, to catch and record her heartbeat. A 23 year old taekwondo star from Mexico, Maria Espinoza, was the 3rd athlete Ronson had worked with. Fourth was the pride of Singapore, 18 year old archer, Dayyan Jaffar. And lastly was 29 year old American, David Oliver, a 110 meter hurdler. Ronson was very happy working with the athletes and was very proud to be chosen as part of the Olympic anthem team.
