National Parks offer one of the most unique vacation destinations available. While white sandy beaches or a picturesque European town are the norm for most vacations, there is no beating the diversity and awe inspiring scale that national parks offer.

Here is a list with some of the most interesting:

Yosemite National Park

One of the most famous parks in the U.S., it offers a wide array of natural eye catchers like its huge granite domes, a number of impressive waterfalls and hot water springs. Other features include its sequoia trees and a number of wide meadows. The downside to the park is that it became so famous, that it’s literally flooded with tourists. So if you want to check it out try to do it in the off season.

Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone is another famous national park, renowned for the Old Faithful geyser as well as for the important numbers of elk and bison that can be seen in its fantastically wide meadows. This is an absolute must see for the geyser enthusiasts.

Glacier National Park

A lesser known but just as beautiful park that offers an incredible number of hike opportunities that can challenge even the most experienced mountaineers. Its roads and tracks also offer some of the best views of the Rocky Mountains available in any national parks.
