Rumors swirl that Angelina Jolie is adopting another kid
Angelina Jolie and husband Brad Pitt are reportedly planning to adopt another child to add to their growing family.
A Haitian girl named Leah from an orphanage in the poor Caribbean country is said to become the new addition to the family and the seventh child of the celebrity couple.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie already has three adopted children from Ethiopia, Vietnam and Cambodia, in addition to three biological kids.
Leah's parents were killed when a devastating earthquake leveled Haiti's capital. Jolie and the girl met each other one year ago when the 35-year old star visited for a humanitarian mission.
The Daily Mirror reports that the adoption process has entered the "latter stages of authorization" after months of dealing with government and adoption agencies.
The source of the newspaper said, "It was love at first sight. Angelina's lawyers are in the process of getting an authorization so Leah can spend time with her in America." Authorities are making sure the girl adapts well to her new environment with her mom-to-be.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are the subject of constant rumors about adopting more children as the couple have said earlier that they are open to the idea.
"A lot of observers from groups such as the Red Cross are ensuring that Angelina is treated like anybody else and not fast-tracked, which would be viewed invidiously," the source said.
Being a Hollywood star and United Nations ambassador is apparently not a big factor in hastening the adoption process for Angelina Jolie.
