New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony Secretly Nursing an Injury

Reports from the New York Knicks training facility say that superstar forward Carmelo Anthony is rehabilitating his elbow.  The 6-9 forward who was acquired by the Knicks from the Denver Nuggets last season, has been prohibited from lifting weights and shooting since the Knicks’ exit from the last playoffs.

Anthony got the injury while he was still at Denver earlier last season, but the news further flared up when he said that he might need a drainage procedure.  Though, Carmelo was quick to say that he does not love the idea of “going under the knife”.

Knicks Guard toney Douglas had his shoulder operation after the season, and is currently in the same boat with Carmelo, both are under strict supervision of the Knicks’ rehabilitation team.

The forward said that right after his second game for New York, his elbow felt numb.  From then on he spent the rest of the season playing with a shooting sleeve as an elbow support.
