Marc Anthony back to ‘single’ status
After seven years of marriage with actress-singer Jennifer Lopez, the 42-year-old crooner, Mark Anthony is again back to being a single man.
The couple has told the press last Friday, July 15th, that they are calling it quits, after being married for seven years and having their twins, Max and Emme. However, during a gig in Bogota, Columbia last Saturday night he announced it publicly to his fans by singing a track from his album titled ‘No Hay Nadie Como Ella’, which means ‘None Like Her’ in English. The song was believed to be dedicated to Lopez, although he said 'Rumour has it I'm single now. That's why I want to dedicate the next song to you.'
There are rumors that the former couple is having an argument whether who should drop out of the TV talent show 'Q'Viva! The Chosen,’ which was conceptualized by Simon Fuller. According to insider reports, the show will still go on despite the couples’ split because Fuller believes that both aim to entertain and are professionals, so they won’t let their personal problems get in the way.
However, the tension behind the scenes is hard to cover, the couple is barely on speaking terms and they only converse to talk about their children, this goes to show that the split is beyond amicable.
The show’s concept is for the couple and choreographer Jamie King to go to 21 countries in an attempt to find fresh Latino talent, which is getting hazy because it certainly feels like they don’t want to tour together. Meanwhile, Lopez is loved as one of the judge in ‘American Idol’ and according to sources there might be a chance that Lopez might leave ‘Q’Viva! to Anthony or if not they can just travel separately.
