Fowler is the newest kid at the British Open

Sandwich — Before it was only Rory McIlroy, now here comes Rickie Fowler. Fowler is now the newest brightest kid in the British Open in golf.

The American boy who is 22 years old shot his final score of 72 for a total of 280. Fowler shot a 13 consecutive pars and then a bogey on the 14th and ending a 280 score.

Fowler admitted he gained a lot of experience from the four-day tournament. He was far from winning his first Major yet but playing a solid game for past two weeks gave him a good prospect for the remaining tournaments for the rest of the year.

Fowler has been very attractive to brand promotion due to his keen fashion sense and with his great long hair. He is a son of a driver from California where he learned playing golf in a driving range.

Before the tournament ended, the spotlight was given to McIlroy, British Open in golf.being dubbed as the newest superstar in golf. But Fowler, the American, stole the limelight from McIlroy when Fowler played better than McIlroy.

The two young golfers played neck-to-neck despite the bad weather condition. Fowler scored better than the two, Fowler’s superb score was 68 while McIlroy’s dismal score is 74 last Saturday. Fowler ends the tournament with a seven strokes better than rival McIlroy at 280.

Fowler is now looking forward to winning his first Major pro tournament and a shot at another US Major Tournament in Atlanta, Georgia this coming August. He has now proven that he has what it takes to win his first Major.
