Former NBA player Faces Murder Charge

Atlanta - Javaris Crittenton, former Washington Wizards player in the NBA, was allegedly charged of killing a woman on a street in Atlanta. Crittenton now has to face a criminal offense of murdering a woman. Crittenton was suspended last year by the NBA for bringing deadly firearm inside the locker room of Washington Wizards.

Carlos Campos, police spokesperson, said that Crittenton has been linked with the murder incident that killed Jullian Jones, 22 years old, by shooting her to death a couple of days ago on August 19. The Atlanta police have already secured a murder warrant of arrest to Crittenton. The alleged suspect however has left Atlanta and is believed to be in L.A. The FBI has helped in the investigation of the murder incident.

The victim, a mother of 4 children, was walking while shot dead by man inside a dark-colored vehicle, police said. The woman was not the intended target by the gunman, investigators claimed. It was found out by the investigation team that Crittenton revenged a robbery incident last April where he was the victim.

After guilty of bringing a gun inside the Wizards’ locker room, Crittenton was suspended by the NBA for the final 38 games of his team, Washington Wizards, in the 2009-2010 season. Crittenton received probation after he pleaded guilty last January 25, 2010. Out of his 113 games in the NBA, Crittenton has 5.3 average points and an average of 1.8 assists.
