Muhammad Ali Honors Life of Nemesis Joe Frazier Despite On-Going Battle with Parkinson’s Disease

Muhammad Ali is one of the most recognizable faces in the world for being a champion boxer and considered to be one of the best fighters in history.

During Joe Frazier’s death ceremony, Muhammad Ali obliged to Rev. Jesse Jackson when he asked mourners to rise and put their hands together and bid farewell to the former heavyweight champion. Muhammad Ali in dark suit and sunglasses rose from his sit and clapped for Joe Fraizer, the legendary boxing hero who gave Ali his first loss.

As one of the 4,000 mourners in Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church, Muhammad Ali participated in the two-hour joyous celebration of Fraizer’s life.

Joe Fraizer also known as Smokin’ Joe died two weeks ago after struggling from liver cancer; he was 67. Larry Holmes and Don King also attended the funeral.

Muhammad Ali ravaged by Parkinson’s disease was accompanied by his wife Lonnie, who rubbed his back while sitting and held his hand as they entered and left the church. Sad but true, Muhammad Ali has been suffering from Parkinson’s disease, a neurological condition that affects motor and speech control. It’s like Muhammad Ali is trapped in his own body.
