Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - A Perfect Match for Nintendo Wii

“The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword” is said to be a tough game but has provided hours of enjoyment for gamers, while chronicling every quest of Link, the green-hat-wearing elf.

“The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword" is full of maze-like terrain, challenging dungeons, familiar weapons and the quest to find Zelda. Likewise, in the Skyward Sword, Link’s trusted horse, known as Epona has been replaced by a giant bird that travels him to different locations.

According to Nintendo "Skyward Sword" shows the foundation for the events in "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time," but it doesn't feel like a precursor. Further, Skyward Sword is slow due to plenty of inactions. And instead of Navi, Fi acts as an artificial intelligence program. Fi lives in Link’s sword and goes out when summoned.

In facing combat, it is advisable to use Nintendo's Wii MotionPlus Control to defeat monsters and solve puzzles. While the nunchucks attached to the Motion Plus Control act as your protection during combat and also help with moves like rolling or shield-bashing your enemies. In the end, Skyward Sword is an underwhelming game that mostly sticks to the path that Link has been on for the past 25 years.
