Acer Switch One 10 and V 10 Aimed At Budget-Conscious Market

A pair of inexpensive convertible notebooks was unveiled by Acer running on Windows 10 prior to the Computex in Taipei. The new notebooks offer the keyboard and touch-friendly Continuum feature and are aimed at the low-end market. The Acer Switch One 10 and V 10 are designed mainly for students and budget-conscious consumers as they are priced close to the Chromebooks. The company is aiming to get a significant share of the budget-friendly convertible notebook market.

The Switch notebooks of Acer use Windows 10 and the Continuum feature facilitating seamless switching from the traditional mouse and keyboard interface to touch control unlike the Chromebooks, which run on the Chrome OS. The feature of the Switch notebooks is handy for devices that can be converted from a traditional laptop into a touch-enabled tablet. The removable keyboard on the devices facilitates the conversion and both devices feature the “tent” mode for users who may require a kickstand for their devices.
