Basketball God Kobe Bryant And Wife File for Divorce

Basketball icon Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa has finally filed for divorce after more than 10 years of marriage due to irreconcilable differences. Both of them have resolved all issues privately and both filed their petitions.

According to Kobe, 33, and Vanessa, 29, who have 2 children, "We ask that in the interest of our young children and in light of the upcoming holiday season, the public respect our privacy during this most difficult time."

Bryant has contributed a lot to the success of the Lakers to five National Basketball Association championships, has been named a most valuable player, been the league's top scorer and played on numerous all-star teams.

In 2003, Kobe Bryant was accused by a Colorado hotel worker of rape, tarnishing his reputation. During the trial, Kobe denied the claims and charges and eventually the case was dropped after the victim refused to testify.

According to TMZ, Vanessa was aware of the “multiple women” linked to his husband over the years, but a recent affair has pushed Vanessa to decide one and for all.

Accordingly, Kobe Bryant will now face a level of media inquiry. But what’s ironic is that Vanessa still loves Kobe -- but she just can't stand his infidelities anymore.
