Lady Gaga Fights Online Bullies
Lady Gaga hopes to get support from David Cameron for her advocacy against internet bullies. She had launched Born This Way Foundation and has President Barack Obama’s support. Gaga would like to have a meeting at No 10 when the singer comes to London on the succeeding month.
According to a source, the said foundation is working with Obama’s government and Harvard University. Also, the foundation intends to talk to the Prime Minister and discuss its objectives. The spokesman of Downing Street said “If Lady Gaga gets in touch, we will respond.”
For several weeks now, internet bullies have become topic on headlines after a number of high-profile incidents. For instance, Tom Daley, who won bronze medal in London Olympics, became a target on the popular social networking site, Twitter, during the opening week of Olympics. Rumors came out that he did let down his parents after the diving competition.
Aside from Daley, Rebecca Addington, who was also a part of Olympics 2012, has been bullied in Twitter. Also, politicians became apple of the eye of the online bullies.
Lady Gaga was bullied when she was a child and that makes her feel what the other feels about being bullied now. The singer is very eager to gain supports for her foundation to help other people as well.
