Controversial Gold Medal Boxing Decision Puts IABA President On Hot Seat

International Amateur Boxing Association President ChingKo-Wu is facing a lot of accusations after a controversial decision in the London Olympics boxing finals. It was decided that ShimingZou won the gold medal against his opponent KaewPongprayoon of Thailand.

Most of the spectators and boxing analysts gave a negative feedback about the doubtful decision which seriously affected the reputation of AIBA president.

While it is a fact that people found the boxing tournament in the Olympic as highly appealing, it is because of this reason that more criticism was targeted on the sports category. Highly negative criticisms were due to relatively questionable decisions.

In some of the last year London issues, rumor had spread about how medals can be easily bought. With a few million dollars, a nation may guarantee glory in the Olympics. This contributes to the issue on AIBA participating in the allegation of bribery.

As of the moment, AIBA is on its legal move of filing a case against the false allegations. BBC will be facing the charges after it had continuously broadcasted the accusations even when the AIBA had strongly denied the unproven reports.

Based on the reports conducted by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), no direct and conclusive evidence can back up the allegations.
