Kim Kardashian’s Divorce Trial Delayed
Seems like the divorce of the “Keeping up with the Kardashians” star Kim Kardashian and NBA player Kris Humphries may take longer than expected. Humphries accuses Kardardashian of fraud by entering the marriage only to make millions of dollars with their wedding.
Marshall Waller, Humphries’ lawyer, is looking for the information from companies that produce Kardashian’s reality shows to prove the couple’s 72-day marriage was a fraud.
The model-actress doesn’t look pleased with how the divorce trial is going and even accused Humphries of trying to ruin her career. Kardashian’s lawyer,Laura Wasserstated that the actress’legal fees have already reached $250,000and which they also plan to bill to Kris Humphries. "We're going to ask for every penny to be paid by Kris," she said.
Superior Court Judge Stephen Moloney said that if Humphries continues to push for fraud, the divorce may require a two-week trial and he also set a follow- up hearing in November.
The couple was married in August 2011 but Kardashian soon filed for divorce on Oct. 31, mentioning irreconcilable differences and stating that there was a prenuptial agreement. A month later, Humphries responded by asking for a legal separation or an annulment, claiming that their nuptials were based on fraud.
