New England Patriots Recover But Can’t Seal The Deal
With a poor performance for the most part of the game where they were led 31 – 3, the New England Patriots managed to bring things around and tie the San Francisco 49ers in just a couple of minutes.
Coming close to one of the most dramatic turnarounds this season most of the New England Patriots players refuse to call it a comeback.
Deyon Branch, the veteran receiver of the Patriots said about the comeback, “You can’t really call it that … because we didn't come back and win. We did enough to make the game interesting and to give ourselves a chance.”.
They may not consider the title “comeback” to be appropriate but it was an amazing turn of score after a disastrous first 35 minutes. After two Brady interceptions and just four turnovers in 35 minutes the tie seems to be an honorable result.
As Tom Brady, quarter back for the Patriots concluded “It wasn't like there was a magic formula to what we were doing, we just stopped killing ourselves… We just can’t turn the ball over; we can’t miss plays that we have opportunities at.
We hit a few of those and that’s why we moved the ball.”This result doesn't do much for the Patriots; however, it was one of the most entertaining matches they played; it also gave a peek at what they can do when they hit top form.
