U.S.A. Still Best Travel Brand
The United States still has the strongest travel brand, shows a study conducted by Bloom Consulting’s Country Branding Ranking for 2012.The study places the United States ahead of countries like Spain, France China or Germany.
The same Bloom Consulting Company conducted a study to see the best trade ranking, the study showed U.S. leading the charts again.
A high brand ranking has many advantages, the most important one being the attraction rate for direct investments. The higher the ranking the better the country is at attracting those investments.
The measurements for the study seem to take into consideration the historical economic performance, the economic growth and the branding strategy of the country, also called the CBS.
The CBS mainly refers to how well the tourism offer of a certain country meets what people are searching for online.
The intent of the study is to see how much a certain country could increase its earnings and improve its economy through trade and tourism.
Even though the United States saw tourist numbers drop a bit last year, a solid tourism strategy and a good score on the CBS kept the U.S. on the number one spot as the best travel brand, followed closely by the most important European tourist destinations and with a considerable gain by about 8 Asian countries.
