Reports Indicate That Spears Will Be Fired From “The X Factor”

Following the finale of “The X Factor” Season 2, reports emerged indicating that Britney Spears will be fired from the show after only one season. The singer was brought into the show supposedly to enhance its ratings.

The possible sacking of Spears from “The X Factor” was reportedly due to the fact that Simon Cowell did not feel that she earned her huge paycheck. Cowell reportedly wanted the crazy Britney, instead of a boring Britney.

Prior to her appearance on “The X Factor” some of her antics attracted the attention of media, including driving while her baby was on her lap and when she shaved her hair off. During her stay on the show, she was criticized for being bland on the show and would not have much to say about some of the contestants in the show.

The ratings of the show have gone down since the first season although it can be recalled that Cowell intended to surpass the ratings of “American Idol.”

Aside from Spears, L.A. Reid had already indicated that he will leave “The X Factor” to focus on his music executive job.

A spokeswoman for show indicated that the future plans of the show remains to be seen. No discussions were made in connection the next year’s judging panel of “The X Factor”, and that reports that have emerged are all speculations.
