Taylor Swift Drops Trespassing Charges
The man arrested for trespassing Taylor Swift’s Nashville property on December 13th last year will not be prosecuted.
Jacob Kulke who was arrested on December 14th after hopping a fence on the country-stars property said to police at the time that he was Taylor Swift’s boyfriend and that he had been in contact with Taylor the day before. He also said he had taken a bus all the way from Wisconsin to surprise Taylor on her 23rd birthday.
The 24 year old's attorney, Steve McKinney, said that one of the reasons prosecutors aren't pressing charges is also the lack of “No Trespassing” signs on Taylor Swift’s property.
However, the main reason charges weren't brought up was that Taylor and her family didn't want to proceed with the case.
Taylor Swift, the country and pop star played her hit songs “I Knew You Were Trouble” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” up until the last minutes of 2012 during the "New Year’s Rocking Eve" show, after which she shared a passionate kiss, as the clock struck midnight, with her boyfriend Harry Styles in Times Square.
She later tweeted “Can’t even verbalize how stoked I am for 2013!”. Taylor Swift and Harry Styles seem to be shortly becoming one of the most popular couples in entertainment after they started dating in October 2012.
