Armed Robbers Strike Apple Store On New Year’s Eve
The central Paris Apple Store lost products to armed robbers, who took advantage of the festivities on New Year’s Eve.
A police official revealed that the Apple Store located in central Paris was robbed of products worth thousands of Euros by armed robbers on New Year’ Eve. The robbery happened at around 9 PM or three hours before the store was set to close.
The Apple Store that was targeted by robbers is located at the back of the Paris Opera. The store offered a number of Apple products including iPads, iPhones, and Mac computers.
The official did not issue any statements on reports indicating that around one million Euros worth of products were carted away by the armed robbers from the Paris Apple Store. The police official simply said that Apple is still trying to find out the value of the products that were taken by the armed robbers.
According to Christophe Crépin, of Unsa, a police union, the armed individuals barged into the shop and carted away the products before they escaped using a van. The robbers reportedly wore masks during the robbery.
Crépin added that the robbers were planned the robbery well. Most of the police were securing the Champs Elysées for the New Year’s Eve celebration when the robbers attacked the Apple Store in Paris.
