Britney Spears Quits “The X Factor”
As the press speculated for weeks of a possible break-up between the popular Fox show “The X Factor” and Britney Spears, it appears that the pop diva released a statement confirming the news.
"I've made the very difficult decision not to return for another season. I had an incredible time doing the show and I love the other judges and I am so proud of my teens but it's time for me to get back in the studio … Watching them all do their thing up on that stage every week made me miss performing so much! I can't wait to get back out there and do what I love most." said Britney Spears in the press release to Pop & Hiss this Friday.
Britney Spears’ departure came right after rumors of a new album and a world tour were released that might take place this year.
Along with Britney L.A. Reid was also reported to be leaving the show to concentrate on running Epic Records, where some of the “X Factor” winners are signed.
Fox Chairman Kevin Reilly, appreciated the pop stars contribution to the despite the fact that this season had lower ratings than the last one.
Britney Spears reportedly made close to $15 million while working on “The X Factor” where beyond being a judge she mentored some contestants.
