Amazon Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Offered In Canada

The most recent model of the Amazon Kindle and the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite is now available in the Canadian market according to the online retail giant.

The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite will be available at a price tag of C$ 139 or $138.95 for the 3G model. On the other hand the Amazon Kindle has a price tag of C$89 or US$88.98. The two e-readers are already available on the Canadian website of Amazon or Amazon.ca. The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite features a lighted touchscreen display. The Wi-Fi/3G model of the e-reader has a price tag of C$199 or US$198.97.

Deliveries of the two e-readers in the United States started last September and October.

In addition to the Canadian website of Amazon, the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite and the Amazon Kindle will also be offered through a number of retail outlets across Canada, Amazon revealed. Some of the retail outlets that will offer the two devices are Shoppers Drug Mart, Staples, and The Source.

Even though it took some time before the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite and the Amazon Kindle were released into the Canadian market, a press release was made by the company to highlight the availability of the two e-readers at the Kindle Store in Canada.

The Canada Kindle Store has over 1.5 million Kindle book offerings including around 50,000 titles in French. It also offers titles of authors and publishers from Canada including Yann Martel, Margaret Atwood, and Alice Munro. This is good news for consumers who aim to purchase the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite and the Amazon Kindle in Canada.
