Charges May Be Filed Against Chris Brown After Frank Ocean Incident
Information is still being gathered and interviews are conducted after this Sunday’s altercation between controversial singer/celebrity Chris Brown and songwriter Frank Ocean.
With Frank Ocean determined to press charges against Chris Brown, the singer might be in deeper trouble that he initially imagined as he is on probation after the 2009 incident involving his then girlfriend Rihanna.
Sources close to Brown say that he is uninvolved in the incident and that he is open to talking to police.
Defense lawyer Jacob Glucksman said that regardless of Frank Ocean’s intent of pressing charges, it is the prosecutors call if there is enough probable cause to file charges against Chris Brown.
Even if charges are not filed, prosecutors may ask the Los Angeles court to revoke Chris Brown’s probation as he failed to uphold the agreement on which the deal was struck.
Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, couldn't be reached while the Los Angeles County Department of Probation said that confidentiality laws prevented them from making any comments on Chris Brown’s probation status.
This Monday, Chris Brown said that he is focusing on his work after which he sent via Instagram a picture of Jesus on the cross adding “Painting the way I feel today, focus on what matters!”
