There are few megacities that have the impressive skyline mixed with the eclectic architecture and the impressive sights that New York offers; however, the truly unique part of the city is Central Park.

With 843 acres of green grass, trees and lakes, Central Park makes a beautiful contrast between the busy, hectic city and the serenity offered by its many paths.

Opened in 1857, the huge park is one of New York’s biggest attractions, one that is enjoyed by both tourists and locals.

The park is host to a huge number of activities and events from the New York City marathon to a huge number of outdoor cultural events like music and film festivals.

It is also a place where a lot of New Yorkers do their jogging or take bike rides.However the best thing about the park is that it offers a place where people can escape the fast paced city and recharge their batteries in a scenery that makes you think you’re in some natural reserve not in one of the biggest cities in the world.

With fantastic sights, monuments, bird watching opportunities, and much much more, people who find themselves in New York City should definitely check it out, and maybe take a free tour and try to discover a little bit of what Central Park has to offer.
