Reports have indicated that the upcoming Microsoft Xbox 720 will reportedly become available in the market with the latest Kinect sensor. One of the enhancements offered by the latest sensor is better tracking when it is used in large-sized rooms.

The reports have indicated that Kinect sensor is integrated into the next-generation game console to facilitate the gaming experience. The integration facilitates the motion-sensing capabilities of the Xbox 720.

The Kinect was launched by Microsoft in November 2010. It became among the best-selling consumer electronic device as it sold around ten million units during the first four months it was offered in the market.

The field of view and the color stream of the sensor will also be enhanced. It will also feature a USB 3.0 connection. An infrared stream will also be added to allow the device to monitor players in a number of lighting situations.

Reports of the Kinect sensor being sold together with the Xbox 720 emerged after someone attempted to sell a Durango devkit through eBay. Some details of the upcoming device were also leaked into the internet.

The report indicated that the latest Kinect sensor has the capability of tracking six persons at a time. The camera resolution of the sensor will also be 1080p. A good number of consumers criticize the lack of games for the original Kinect and with its bundling with the upcoming game console it may prompt developers to create more games for the game console.

The Xbox 720 is expected to be unveiled by Microsoft by spring. In comparison, the next generation game console of Sony was unveiled on February 20. It will reportedly offer motion capabilities built into its controller.

However, these reports about the Xbox 720 are still considered rumors since they have yet to be confirmed by the software giant.
