Chicago Bulls Beat The Philadelphia 76ers Behind Joakim Noah’s Efforts

Joakim Noah played copped the third triple-double in his career as he scored 23 points, grabbed 21 rebounds and swatted 11 balls as the Chicago Bulls beat the Philadelphia 76ers 93-82.

Tom Thibodeau, coach of the Bulls, described Noah as simply spectacular. He was guarding everyone, blocking shots and switching throughout the entire game.

Noah tied the 1977 Bulls record of Artis Gilmore for the most number of blocks during a regulation game. Carlos Boozer also described the game of Noah as amazing. Boozer scored 21 points for the Bulls while Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich added 12 and 15 points respectively. The Chicago Bulls beat the Philadelphia 76ers in all of their regular season games against each other.

Even Doug Collins, the coach of the Sixers, indicated that Noah was all over the floor. If he was left unguarded, he would create problems for his opponents. However, the Bulls center remained humble despite his remarkable performance on the court.

The Philadelphia 76ers was led by Jrue Holiday with 22 points while Spencer Hawes and Evan Turner added 20 points and 12 points respectively. The loss of the Sixers to the Chicago Bulls extended their losing streak to seven. The Sixers were able to narrow the gap in the fourth quarter to four points off a dunk by Hawes.

The Chicago Bulls were able to regain a double-digit lead on a three-point-play by Noah. The closest that the Philadelphia 76ers were able to get to Chicago was seven points until the end of the game.

A three-point-play by Deng gave the Bulls a 45-39 lead at halftime. The third quarter saw Hinrich scoring his first point for the Bulls as they maintained their eight-point lead.

Collins revealed that the frontline of the Chicago Bulls was incredible as Boozer and Noah combined for 44 points along with 33 rebounds in their win against the Philadelphia 76ers.
