Jay Leno May Be Replaced By Jimmy Fallon At The Tonight Show”

It appears that Jimmy Fallon is set to replace Jay Leno as host of the “Tonight Show” and become the sixth host of the most famous television program.

The exact date when this would happen remains uncertain. Reports revealed that NBC is set to make an announcement in May showing that Leno will end his hosting duties after the 2013-2014 season. He will be replaced by Fallon. However, the television network quickly denied the reports.

However, Jimmy Fallon has associated himself with one of the biggest pop stars and his house band is considered the best one on TV. This may be a major consideration if the network is considering replacing Jay Leno on the show since television normally looks at how much money it can make on a show.

The replacement in the hosting duties of “The Tonight Show” may be more than just Jimmy, who was moved into the 11:35 PM slot last January. After “Jimmy Kimmel” was taken over by Matt Damon last January 24, it outperformed two other shows among younger viewers. It was also at par with “Tonight” in terms of viewership.

It simply indicates that the audience of Leno is not increasing or getting younger, unlike the audience of Jimmy Kimmel. The only way to counter this is to replace Jay Leno with Jimmy Fallon as host of the show.
