Danielle Fishel From “Boy Meets World” Poses for Maxim

Danielle Fishel, better known as Topanga in the 1990s sitcom “Boy Meets World” has decided to pose for Maxim magazine.

In the interview given she talks about the ABC hit show and about her new project “Girl Meets World” where she will pair up with former co-star Ben Savage, who played Cory on the same popular 90’s show.

In the interview she recalls a funny incident where her and her family where flying to Disney World on the same flight as Bob Saget, who starred on another big hit of the 1990s, “Full House”.

She said that her family had four seats facing each other with a curtain for privacy that almost made it feel like a booth. She said that as they were trying to get some shuteye Bob Sage walks down the aisle pulls the curtain open and asks if “Anybody has any coke?”, after which he looks her dad in the eyes, laughs and goes away, much to the consternation of her mom.

She also said that her somewhat weird name, Topanga came from the L.A. canyon. She said that Michael Jacobs, the show’s creator was driving past the canyon when he was asked how to name her character.

In the same Maxim interview Danielle Fishell said that while she acknowledges the weirdness of her name, she has met a lot of people who are named or have named their children after her character on “Boy Meets World”.
