Joy Behar Leaves “The View”
“The View” is about to lose one of its most popular and appreciated members as Joy Behar officially announced that she will be retiring from the popular talk show.
There were rumors that Barbara Walters would also leave the show while Elizabeth Hasselbeck will be fired, however, nothing of the sort happened, for now.
Joy Behar was one of the most appreciated members of the view, often being considered the funniest.
As soon as the official announcement was made a host of rumors started spreading about who will replace the redheaded comedian. One of the rumors said that she will be replaced by fellow redhead and trouble maker Kathy Griffin. This seems unlikely seeing as Griffin was banned from the show a number of times and she also seems to have a problem with Elizabeth Hasselbeck.
Another named that was thrown around was Brooke Shields. The actress was last seen playing in a Downton Abbey parody on the Jimmy Fallon show. Both representatives of the actress and from ABC couldn’t confirm this rumor however.
Kirstie Ally also is on the roster; apparently the actress and funny woman is appreciated by a lot of “The View” viewers and could contribute a lot to the show regarding weight issues, and by asking some of her former co-stars to make appearances on the show.
Whoever will get Joy Behar’s seat, the show will clearly not be the same.
