Lena Headey's Financial Situation Becomes Public

Lena Headey may be playing the role of a queen on “Game of Thrones” over at HBO, but it appears that in real-life, her financial situation is not suitable enough for a queen. Reports have indicated that “Queen Regent Cersei Lannister”, the role played by the actress on the “Game of Thrones”, is broke and she has around $5 to her name.

The financial situation of the actress became known following the emergency court filing by her husband, Peter Loughran, in the divorce proceedings of the former couple.

The actress filed for divorce in July 2012 from Loughran due to irreconcilable differences after around five years of marriage.

The emergency filing of Loughran claimed half of the $46,000 the couple will receive as tax refund for 2011. In response, Lena Headey filed papers indicating that she needs to get an advance of around $6,000 from the funds. The actress indicated that she and her son, Wylie Elloit, are currently trying to make ends meet. Reports indicate that she is living on credit for the moment even as she is fighting for custody of their son.

The proposal of Lena Headey and the motion of Loughran were met with a negative response from the judge. The proposal of the actress supposedly indicated that $6,000 will also be given to Loughran for his living expenses, which will be taken out of the refund.

The situation is rather extraordinary unusual since the “Game of Thrones” is enjoying record ratings for the moment. It is already on its third season over at a premium channel. It is also considered as among the most widely-watched show on television for the moment.

However, it appears that Lena Headey may be receiving a huge payout soon.
